Sea Stewards Non Profit Partner: The Ocean Revolution: Involve, Solve, Evolve

Ocean Revolution was created so youth can evolve. OR links young people from all over the world in a network of information sharing and mentoring and links environmental action to their computers. It makes the resources of science, education and politics available so that these emerging leaders can guide us through the next 50 years of our relationship with the planet’s oceans. It puts committed young people in charge of finding their own style and of determining the structure, pace and level of involvement of their friends and the rest of their generation in creating a more sustainable relationship with the ocean.
Ocean Revolution begins as a leadership program. It identifies potential leaders in ocean conservation. It connects those individuals in a way no other past society has; using interconnectedness and the tools of communication to learn from the mistakes of distant people and to work communally on new solutions. We link environmental action to the laptop. We empower those developing social entreprenuers with sharing tools and personal mentoring from environmentalists, scientists, educators, artists, writers and politicians so they can fulfill their promise.
Ocean Revolution goes beyond and supplements the classes, retreats, field trips, eco-tourism and ocean curriculum to provide the guidance, networking and mentoring for those who wish to delve deeper and change the course of our planet.
                                          Join the Ocean Revolution!

The California Oceans Communicator's Alliance

Sea Stewards is one of the original members of this alliance of scientists, communicators and ocean organizations. The ocean is vital to life and touches us every day. The ocean gives us food, water, commerce, recreation, and the opportunity for quiet contemplation. Even medicines that heal us and the air we breathe come from the ocean. Yet, today the ocean is in trouble. Our ocean faces threats of pollution, marine debris, endangered populations, beach erosion, and more. You can help. By learning about the ocean, getting involved in ocean activities and voicing your opinion to lawmakers, you can join the Sea Stewards Team and millions of Californians who are saying,
                                          Thank You Ocean!

World Ocean Day III

Sea Stewards initiated World Ocean Day activities in Marin in 2006, with a celebration of music and ocean films benefitting the Lark Theater. Returning to the Wipeout Bar and Grill in Greenbrae, Sea Stewards teamed up with Surfrider Foundation Marin and raised money for the ocean water testing programs. We also urged the Marin Board of Supervisors to officially proclaim World Ocean Day.
In 2009 Sea Stewards again partnered with Surfrider Marin and San Francisco to Celebrate, Educate and Motivate for a healthy Ocean!.
